MINERAL RIDGE, Ohio - Family, friends and fans joined together to honor the life of local musician Rick Young and donate to a Warren nonprofit Sunday at the 46th Annual Young's Corn Roast. The roast began as a traditional family gathering and stayed that way for about ten years. Since then, the Young family says it has grown into a fully-fledged community event full of local live music.

Rick Young died last November. Young was a long-time musician in the Valley and played with several bands including Special Forces for over 25 years before he died.

Young's family says keeping the corn roast tradition alive is a way to not only remember him, but also donate to a cause Rick held near and dear.
