Two dead in four-vehicle crash on Dixie Highway in Louisville Sunday morning

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two people are dead after a multi-vehicle collision Sunday morning near the Valley Station neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) say officers responded to reports of a crash in the 12000 block of Dixie Highway at 9:50 a.m.

According to LMPD, six vehicles were involved and one person died.

LMPD says vehicle #1 was travelling south on Dixie Hwy. and was changing lanes when it struck another vehicle, vehicle #2 which was traveling south. Vehicle #1 continues into the northbound lanes of traffic and hit another vehicle, vehicle #3, which then hit another vehicle travelling north, vehicle #4.

Vehicle #1 then hit a utility pole and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of vehicle #3 sustained critical injuries and was transported to the University
