A former Ohio State long snapper is under arrest after allegedly getting into a disturbing domestic altercation, which left his girlfriend with a black eye and bruises around her throat.

Michael Roen McCullough is facing a felony count of strangulation after he allegedly punched his girlfriend several times and grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against a window, according to multiple reports. 3

Columbus Police responded to a domestic violence report on Aug. 29 at 9 p.m. They interviewed a woman, McCullough’s reported girlfriend, who detailed a harrowing scene that played out the prior morning.

Court records show that the woman told police she and McCullough had been driving home in his vehicle around 9:30 a.m. when they got into an argument, the Columbus Dispatch reported.
