If you are looking to lounge around one of Rhode Island’s state beaches this summer, this weekend is your last chance to do so with full amenities.
Rhode Island’s Department of Environmental Management announced Wednesday that the eight state beaches will close for the season after Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1. This will include the closing of beach facilities, pavilion restrooms and concessions, as well as lifeguard services.
Beach gates and parking lots, however, will remain open after Labor Day unless extreme weather conditions require them to close. Non-food concessions at Misquamicut State Beach will also remain open, weather permitting, for a few weeks, and
