(KFVS) - The start of September will be warm and dry ahead of a slightly more active week.
Labor Day will be seasonably warm, but with continued unusually low humidity.
Afternoon highs will be about 80 to 85 degrees.
A weak upper system to our northwest could bring in some clouds and isolated light showers tonight through Wednesday.
This may keep afternoon highs down a few degrees in the low to mid-80s.
The best chance of much-needed rain, along with possible thunderstorms, looks to be Wednesday night into Thursday morning as a stronger cold front moves through the Heartland.
Rain chances are not guaranteed everywhere, but currently look to be about 50 percent.

After the front passes, it will be cooler with drier air.
