PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The air quality alert has been extended through Tuesday due to high forecast levels of surface ozone for the Phoenix area.
High temperatures have unofficially reached 109 on Sunday and we expect the warm weather to continue into Labor Day with highs around 108.
There will be a slight chance of a shower or storm reaching the Phoenix metro in the late Monday afternoon or evening. Even if we don’t get rain, it’s possible that some gusty outflow winds reach parts of the Valley from nearby storms in the higher terrain east of Phoenix. A few extra clouds will move in late Monday afternoon through the evening as well.
