At Home is shuttering 29 "underperforming" stores by the end of September.
At Home, a furniture and home decor retailer based in Coppell, Texas, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June as a result of "broader economic and retail-specific market pressures," court documents state. As a result, 29 stores will close by Sept. 30. Initially, the retailer announced 26 stores to close but three more have been announced in recent months.
The bankruptcy filing and store closures come after several other big box retailers have done the same this year, including Big Lots , Joann Fabrics , Kohl's , JCPenney , Macy's and Party City .
Here's what to know about the At Home store closures.
