September has arrived — and so has a week full of activities that are welcoming in the changing season.

Say goodbye to summer with some send-offs like the last day of the NYS Fair on Monday and an end-of-summer flight night on Thursday.

August may be through, but the festivities are not. Attend Syracuse Irish Festival on Friday, the Golden Harvest Festival or 3-1-LIVE: Thornden Park Music Festival on Saturday.

This weekend offers plenty of opportunities to connect over local art in creative, communal ways, such as the opening night of Blithe Spirit on Friday, and both Art on Porches and the Drumstock Festival on Saturday.
