Former Sanford Seminole football star and current Florida State Seminoles freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard was shot Sunday night near Tallahassee, according to reports.

Warchant.com, Noles247 and the Orlando Sentinel reported that Pritchard was shot in Havana, about 15 miles northwest of Tallahassee.

Gadsden County Sheriff Morris Young confirmed on social media that a man was shot near the Havana Heights Apartments at the corner of 16th Street and South Main Street.

According to the Sentinel, Pritchard was visiting family and was driving a family member home when his car was shot at by someone who had apparently mistaken his car for someone else’s vehicle.

“The male victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment,” according to the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office.
