One thing about me is that I’m going to sweat.

Summer, spring, fall, winter — it frankly doesn’t matter. There is something, deep in the helixes of my DNA, that causes me to perspire. Sometimes, it’ll only take a walk to the subway to make me break out in the same amount of sweat I would during a Pilates class.

Now, as the season transitions from the seventh layer of hell that summer in New York feels like into the blissful crispiness of fall, my tendency to overheat will subside but never, ever fully dissipate. As such, I’ve been hunting for the perfect layering garments — light, airy pieces that will keep my sweat at bay but work well in my transitional cardigans , trench coats , and sweaters when the temperature feels like summer during the day but autumn at night.
