WILDWOOD — The 140th annual New Jersey State Firemen’s Convention will return to the Wildwoods Sept. 12 and 13. This is the 50th year the convention will be held in the Wildwoods during the second week of September.

The weekend will begin with three 9/11 remembrance ceremonies throughout the island on Sept. 11.

• North Wildwood’s Sept. 11 ceremony will be held at 8:40 a.m. at the fire station at 15th and Central avenues.

• Wildwood’s 9/11 ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at Byrne Plaza, 3400 Pacific Ave.

• Wildwood Crest’s 9/11 ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Alameno Park at New Jersey and Miami avenues.
