AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Salvation Army of Augusta is partnering with Southbound Smokehouse this month for a food donations.

The donations can be made to any Salvation Army Augusta location, as well as Southbound Smokehouse, 1009 Center Street.

The Salvation Army says they serve over 100 meals a day at their soup kitchen, including breakfast and dinner.

Wrens hosts ‘Dill-lightful’ pickle festival

You may remember a few weeks ago, we told you Pittsburgh turned into Pickleburgh for their pickle festival.

To keep up with the demand, they’re asking for donations of canned goods, rice, pasta and other non-perishable foods.

In addition to physical drop-offs, you can also purchase and ship items directly to the shelter using the Amazon wish list provided on the Augusta Salvation Army
