PIKETON, Ohio. (WSAZ) - A two-vehicle crash on State Route 32 at U.S. 23 on Aug. 31 is still under investigation, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
OSHP said its Portsmouth Post was notified at 1:10 p.m. that the crash had occurred.
A man driving southbound on U.S. 23 exiting to State Route 32 failed to yield a stop sign and was struck by another man driving westbound on State Route 32, OSHP said.
The driver who failed to yield and a passenger were flown to Grant Medical Center, according to OSHP.
OSHP said the passenger passed away as a result of their injuries.
The other driver was treated at the scene, OSHP said.
The passenger with them was transported to Adena Pike Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to OSHP.
