Peacekeeping group provides security at events

Following the summer season characterized by dry hot conditions, desert landscapes and periods of monsoon rain, the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers will reconvene for their upcoming season of community service activities.

Our first meeting will be the first Friday, at 7 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Multi-Generational Center at 1035 N. Idaho Road in Apache Junction.

We are currently recruiting new rangers for our season and welcome both residents and winter visitors.

You don’t need a horse to join, but if you have one, we would love to have you in our mounted unit. We are a peacekeeping group that provides security at events. The funds we raised are donated to the children of Apache Junction. We also welcome those with ATVs or quad vehicles, as well
