STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island’s Cub Scout Pack 6 is bringing joy to young patients at the Brian Halpin Pediatric Cancer Center at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital’s Florina Cancer Center through a heartfelt new project.

Every week, Pack 6 scouts — children ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade — gather for activities that span from arts and crafts to sports. Now, they’ve taken that same spirit of fun and teamwork beyond their meetings, channeling it into a project that gives back to the community.

“Cub Scouts is a little bit of everything,” said Cubmaster Matthew Sculli. “You join a sport, or you’re into computers...Cub Scouts is everything.”
