(KIMT) -- A relatively clear sky Monday night will bode well for any Northern Lights viewers. A G2 geomagnetic storm is set to occur Monday night, bringing back a dazzling display of color to the north sky.

The Aurora Borealis will be seen north of the MN/IA Border while those south of the border will struggle to notice the dancing of the night sky.

One thing that will improve viewing for the first half of the night will be a lack of clouds. Clouds will be increasing throughout the night, creating a poor viewing environment by early Tuesday morning.
