ROCHESTER, Minn. – A dedication ceremony for the new SE Minnesota Peace Officer’s Memorial is set for September 11.
The memorial is the first major project of the Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation of Southeast Minnesota and will celebrate the lives and stories of the 45 officers, deputies, troopers, and agents who dedicated their lives to serving their communities and lost their lives while doing so.
The memorial is located at Soldiers Field Park in Rochester. The September 11 dedication will start with site tours from 5 to 6 pm and a program will start at 6:30 pm.
Olmsted County Sheriff’s Kevin Torgerson says “The evening will for certain create a range of emotions from joy in having a place for these officers to be finally remembered eternally but also the sadness of their loss wit
