EUGENE, Ore. - A former paramedic from Lane Fire Authority has been arrested on child pornography charges, adding to his documented history of sexual misconduct in the workplace.
Larry Wayne Merrill Jr., 45, was taken into custody after an investigation by Eugene Police. Police executed search warrants on his car and home. Merrill now faces ten counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse and is scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
Merrill's employment with Lane Fire Authority lasted from 2007 until 2018. He was terminated following multiple allegations of inappropriate behavior toward female colleagues.
