LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A detention deputy of the W.C. "Dub" Brassell Adult Detention Center (DBDC) in Jefferson County was arrested on Wednesday after allegations of sexual assault.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) said they arrested Keywand Harris after an investigation into prohibited fraternization with a detainee, as well as other violations of law and agency policy.

A news release from the sheriff's office said that on August 27, investigators with its Criminal Investigation Division received information that alleged Harris was romantically involved with a female detainee.

Harris was then placed on administrative leave until an investigation was completed.
