HAMPTON, Ark — A man has now been arrested in connection to the death of a Hampton woman that happened at the end of August.
According to reports, at about 6:00 a.m. on August 31, officers with the Hampton Police Department (HPD) were called to the 600 block of South 2nd Street with reports of an alleged assault.
Once they arrived, first responders on the scene found 62-year-old Katherine Brice unconscious and with injuries.
She was then taken to the hospital, where she unfortunately died as a result of her injuries on Sunday evening.
The HPD requested the help of the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID), and they were able to arrest 55-year-old Roderick Freemont for his connection to the deadly incident.
He has since been charged with first-degree murder
