With wide receiver Terry McLaurin officially signed to a contract extension, "Get Loud" podcast hosts Michael Jenkins and Fred Smoot were quick to point out how the addition of McLaurin will allow the Washington Commanders' wide receiving corps to play to their strengths.
"If I'm anybody on this roster excited to see Terry besides [quarterback Jayden Daniels], it is Deebo Samuel Sr.," Smoot said.
Last season, Washington's offense ranked fifth in scoring and seventh in total offense but 17th in passing offense. Having both McLaurin and Samuel as options for Daniels could help create more opportunities for creativity from offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury.
