FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AZFamily) — A mountain biker was rescued after an accident in the forests north of Flagstaff over the weekend.
First responders responded to the area of Shultz Pass, a long gravel road north of Flagstaff, for reports of a rider who had a possible leg fracture.
Firefighters and Coconino County Search and Rescue travelled through “challenging terrain” near the scenic road to get to the rider, according to Flagstaff Fire Department.
Due to the terrain, rescuers loaded the injured mountain biker onto a stretcher system and hoisted them by Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Ranger 1 air rescue crew to a hospital.
Arizona’s Family has asked Flagstaff Fire Department for more information about this incident.
