When the anticipated 500-seat Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre makes its debut with The Phoenix Theatre Company’s new season in October, expect many new looks and sounds.
That includes, for the first time at the longtime theater, an understage orchestra pit for the live musicians who add the emotional weight of scores to each production.
