Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in a park.

Officers were called to Meriden Park, in Solihull , at around 5.40pm on Sunday after receiving reports of youths fighting.

They found a 14-year-old boy with stab injuries and taken to hospital.

Fortunately, his injuries were not said to be life-threatening.

The police have launched an investigation and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and has not yet spoken to them to get in touch.
