KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - DermaRite Industries announced that it is expanding its recall of a wide variety of over-the-counter hand soaps due to bacterial contamination that “may result in serious and life-threatening infections,” according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration .
The company announced an initial recall in mid-August , but has since listed more products under the recall.
The products included in this expanded voluntary recall include:
4-N-1 is a no-rinse wash cream intended to temporarily protect and help relieve chafed or cracked skin
DermaCerin is a skin protectant moisturizing cream indicated to temporarily protect and help relieve dry, chapped, or cracked skin. It also helps protect skin from the drying effects of wind and cold weather.
