On Monday, 5,300 runners took over Downtown New Haven for the 48th annual Faxon Law New Haven Road Race.
Participants took part in one of five different races including the Kids Fun Run, the 5K, the Half Marathon, the Half Marathon Relay and the 20K. The athletes include a mix of U.S. Olympians, elite runners, and local runners.

“Since the pandemic, our numbers have been increasing every year.You know, we try and improve on the on the race every year,” said Michael Dolan, President of the New Haven Road Race.
On top of raising more than $20,000 for charity, the race also brings people to the Elm City from all over the country.
