ANN ARBOR – Two key Michigan players were ruled out for Saturday’s opener against New Mexico, but head coach Sherrone Moore is optimistic at least one will be able to return to the lineup this week at No. 18 Oklahoma.

Moore was asked Monday about the status of safety Rod Moore, who is still recovering from knee surgery that knocked him out for the entire 2024 season, and tight end Hogan Hansen.

“Rod is, I’d say questionable, possible,” Sherrone Moore said at his weekly news conference. “We’ll see how he feels. And feel like Hogan’s probable. Feel like he got a real good shot to play this weekend. So excited just to get him back. We’ll get him practicing full speed again.
