SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The OUTnorthLa Film Festival is back for a 14th year!

The festival will run from Friday, Sept. 5 to Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Robinson Film Center .

The event is presented by People Acting for Change & Equality (PACE) , a nonpartisan organization that works to advance equality for the LGBTQ+ in NWLA. The films will showcase stories of love, struggle, resilience and joy. Organizers say they hope to entertain and educate.

OPENING WEEKEND

Friday, Sept 5 at 7:30 p.m. - Showing of “A Nice Indian Boy” followed by a Q$A with physician, actress and filmmaker Dr. Jaya McSharma

Saturday, Sept. 6

6 p.m. - Ticketed reception and meet & greet with “Sordid Lives” writer/director Del Shores and actor Emerson Collins

7:30 p.m. - Showing of “Sordid Lives” followed by Q&A
