DC cops nab trio of teens linked to failed robbery and shooting

Washington, D.C. – Three teenage boys, including one from Maryland, were arrested in connection with a botched armed robbery last month that ended with a man being shot in Northeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, when a man was shot on the 3700 block of Hayes Street, Northeast. The victim, who survived with non-life-threatening injuries, told police he was approached by two suspects, one of whom pulled a gun and demanded his belongings. Before he could respond, the suspect fired a shot, hitting the man. The pair fled on foot without taking anything.
