Update, Sept. 1, 2:26 p.m. ET: Snoop Dogg’s reps are denying he apologized for his homophobic comments. The hip-hop icon’s rep told Deadlline and The Hollywood Reporter that Snoop himself did not leave any apologetic comments on Hollywood Unlocked‘s Instagram page.
It’s unclear if Snoop’s team is claiming since-removed screenshots posted by TMZ and other outlets were outright fake, or if someone did make the comments using Snoop’s official Instagram account but did not have his consent.
Either way, it seems that Snoop maintains his position against LGBTQ+ representation in children’s media.
