TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida State University linebacker was sent to a hospital after he was shot in Havana, Florida on Sunday night, the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office said FSU football player Ethan Pritchard was hurt in a shooting near 16th Ave and Havana Heights Apartments, which is about 15 miles from Tallahassee.

He was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, where he remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the shooting.
