Wommack used those words on multiple occasions as he fielded questions Monday in his first time speaking to reporters since his defense gave up 31 points and 230 rushing yards to Florida State in the season-loss.
“I thought we played timid,” Wommack said. “I thought we let adversity put us on our heels. We played hesitant at times because of that. That was striking for all of us because that’s not the identify of our defense. That’s never been who we are. That’s not who these players are.”
