The Space Weather Prediction Center expects a geomagnetic storm to reach G3 level between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The Northern Lights may be visible right after the sun sets on Labor Day, but the best viewing will likely happen before sunrise Tuesday.

Skies are expected to gradually clear through tonight , so the best chance to see the Aurora borealis will be into early Tuesday morning.

Use long exposure on your cameras for the best chance to get a great picture of the spectacle.

For the best viewing chance, go to rural areas away from city lights.
