Coronation Street fans were left feeling sorry for Carla Connor after her latest proposal attempt hit another stumbling block.

The Underworld factory boss has been keen to pop the question to her girlfriend Lisa Swain for weeks, having brought a ring and nervously prepared to ask the detective sergeant to marry her last month.

As fans of the ITV soap saw at the time, Carla headed to the Rovers Return and waited for who she was hoping would be her future wife.

Lisa, however, arrived late, they were soon interrupted by Debbie Webster. The hotel owner was heard asking the couple for their thoughts on her own wedding invites which got Lisa chatting.
