Outer Banks creator Jonas Pate's latest series has been savaged within hours of its debut, with some viewers admitting they couldn't sit through the entire programme.

Pate, who is best recognised as the showrunner behind the Netflix sensation , has just launched The Runarounds on Prime Video .

The fresh production also features Outer Banks ' fellow creators Josh Pate and Shannon Burke, who are on board as executive producers.

With this successful trio at the helm, audiences had anticipated binge-watching the YA series in a single session. However, early reviews have been brutal.
