FOXBOROUGH – For the last three seasons, the Patriots had solid safety depth with a pair of hard-hitting veteran players.

Last week, Mike Vrabel and the Patriots made the surprising decision to cut Jabrill Peppers . This came after the team shopped veteran Kyle Dugger on the trade market before the NFL’s cutdown deadline.

For Dugger, Peppers’ departure is just another sign of change on a Patriots team that’s undergone a dramatic makeover this year.
