Two male hikers were airlifted from a remote trail in Topanga State Park on Monday afternoon after reporting that they were feeling unwell and unable to return to their starting point, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Crews were dispatched to the 20800 block of Entrada Road near the Will Rogers State Historic Park area. Paramedics reached the hikers, who were assessed on the trail, according to officials.

Both men agreed to be hoisted out by helicopter but declined transport to a hospital. No further medical treatment was required.
