MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — It’s Labor Day and in Muskegon County, that means more than just a holiday. Hundreds gathered at The Lakes Mall Monday for the 21st annual Cars for Cancer show — an event raising money for local cancer care.

From classic cruisers to custom rides, Labor Day in Muskegon meant cars, community and a cause close to home.

“It's pretty significant, filling the needs for cancer patients right here locally," said Diana Cain, partner of organizer Bill Hill.

Engines revved and crowds poured into The Lakes Mall parking lot in Muskegon for the Car for Cancer show.

“Today is the 21st annual Cars for Cancer show. It is a fundraising car show for the Johnson Family Cancer Center here in Muskegon,” said event organizer Bill Hill.
