KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Authorities in Knox County say a woman died after being attacked by a pack of dogs.
The sheriff’s department reports the incident happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Flat Lick community. Investigators said Priscilla Jones, 44, was walking on Sandy Branch when several roaming dogs attacked her.
A neighbor who knew Jones heard her screams for help and called 911. Members of the East Knox Fire Department found her with life-threatening injuries and unable to speak.
Knox County EMS transported Jones to Barbourville ARH Hospital, where she later died.
Barbourville Police also assisted at the scene. The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains ongoing.
