Sacramento’s 35th annual Chalk It Up! art and music festival transformed Fremont Park into an open-air gallery this weekend, with hundreds of artists creating colorful chalk murals. The free festival drew families and visitors with live music, food, and craft vendors, while also supporting youth arts. Since 2012, Chalk It Up! has awarded nearly $90,000 in grants to schools and programs across Sacramento. The event continues Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Fremont Park.
