The lived-experience of people who have turned their lives around following battles with addiction is being brought to a West Lothian theatre this week.
The Regal Theatre in Bathgate will raise the curtain on The Junkie Miracles on Friday, September 5.
The audience will witness lived-experience transformed into theatre – a raw but hopeful exploration of addiction, recovery and the miracles that can turn a life around.
Written by award-winning Scottish playwright Des Dillon (Singing I’m No A Billy, He’s A Tim), the drama tells the intertwined and heartbreaking stories of four people battling addiction, each finding a moment of clarity that saves them from the abyss. It’s rooted in testimonies from Ayr’s Riverside Community Trust (RCT).
