Newcastle United have signed a £55m deal to sign forward Yoane Wissa from Brentford. ‌

The 28-year-old has completed his Newcastle medical after they agreed a four-year contract with the club. ‌

It brings an end to the drama, which saw the Wissa issue a statement on Sunday publicly confirming he wanted to leave Brentford. ‌

Wissa was a key target for the Magpies and Brentford rejected two previous offers for him this summer. He will now play number nine at St James' Park.
