LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Police arrested a man after a drug bust at a traffic safety checkpoint.

At approximately 12:13 a.m. Sunday, officers say Bryan D. Winberry, 39, of Richmond, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped in Laurel County. During the stop, a K-9 officer alerted to the scent of narcotics.

Police say officers then found a white substance inside a plastic bag in Winberry’s pants pocket. They say more of the substance was discovered in a gold metal container on the passenger seat where Winberry was sitting.
