KENNEWICK, Wash. – Around 500 people gathered at Columbia Center as part of the national “Workers Over Billionaires” protest, targeting President Donald Trump and his administration.

Michael Olson, a local resident, attended with his daughters, Dylan and Shelby, to instill the importance of civic engagement.

“I want to be known as a father that supports the rights for my girls… but a dad that encourages them to participate in democracy,” Olson said.

Lauren Malone, founder of Indivisible TriCities, stated future events will include meet and greets with local political candidates and voter registration drives ahead of the November election.
