Body found in house fire in Edmonton’s Montrose neighbourhood

Edmonton police are looking into a suspicious death after a body was found in a house that was on fire in the Montrose neighbourhood.

EPS says officers responded to a call from Edmonton Fire Rescue Services around 5:40 p.m., at a home near 59 Street and 119 Avenue.

EFRS says they were responding to a house fire when they found a body inside the home.

Police have taken over the investigation and are looking to speak to anyone who may have any information, including the individual who posted a video of the fire on social media.
