Happy Labor Day! A long weekend, and the summer season is coming to a close. Mild weather has spilled out of August and into September with no end in sight. The stingy rainfall pattern has as well.

Today's weather was marked by mild temperatures and mostly cloudy skies. Rain fell, but for most it was very light.

We've got the rain triggers, but a persistently dry atmosphere continues to make it tough to get significant rainfall. Pockets of unsettled weather will continue to rotate through the area through Tuesday. And, they'll continue to fade as they crash against a wall of dry air.

Back to work weather will come with clouds and a little sun, along with unusually mild temperatures for early September.
