Portland police identified the pedestrian struck and killed on Northeast Columbia Boulevard on Friday morning as 45-year-old Robert Rodriguez Jr.
Officers arrived at the scene near Northeast Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, shortly before 5 a.m. They found the pedestrian dead, according to police. The driver stayed at the site of the crash and was cooperating with officers.
“There were no signs of impairment observed by responding officers,” police said in a news release.
