Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred in Mississauga on June 19. The incident took place when the victim parked their 2023 Mercedes-Benz Maybach in their driveway on Mineola Road. As the driver exited the vehicle, they were approached by the suspects. One suspect was armed with a knife, while the other claimed to possess a firearm. They demanded the victim's keys, watch, and cellphone. Fortunately, the victim was unharmed during the encounter.

After the carjacking, the suspects fled the scene in the victim's vehicle. Peel Regional Police recovered the stolen car the following day. Investigators conducted a search at a residence in Brampton in July, which led to the arrest of one suspect, a 19-year-old male. The second suspect, a 20-year-old from Oakville, was apprehended on Thursday.

Both suspects face multiple charges, including robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, and possession of property obtained by crime. They are currently being held for a bail hearing.

In a separate incident, Toronto Police reported an assault involving an e-bike theft. A rider was attacked last Wednesday morning in the Danforth-Pape Avenues area. A thief exited a white Acura sedan, pushed the rider off the e-bike, and fled the scene on the stolen bike. The suspect is described as a white male, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9, with a thin to medium build, wearing a black hoodie and a black balaclava.

Additionally, Peel Regional Police seized two handguns during traffic stops in Mississauga on August 23. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near Matheson Blvd. and Sismet Rd. and discovered a loaded Glock 17 with an extended magazine and drugs inside. Luqman Khandid, 22, of Mississauga, faces firearm and drug charges.

In a subsequent traffic stop near Matheson Blvd. and Satellite Dr., police found a loaded Glock 27 on one of the two occupants. Both individuals were arrested. Liban Abdillahi, 20, of Toronto, faces seven firearm-related charges, while Abdullahi Ali, also 20 and from Toronto, faces six firearm-related charges and one charge for having cannabis readily available in a vehicle.
