CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man who helped catch a burglary suspect while wearing Batman pajamas has spoken out about the incident.

On Aug. 27, officers with the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a burglary in progress at a home around 2:03 a.m.

At the scene, they found the suspect had already been captured by a man wearing Batman pajamas, Kyle Myvett, a contractor by day and hero by night.

Myvett recounted to reporters that he had been in bed when his security camera notified him of someone attempting to break into his truck. After going outside to investigate, Myvett spotted the suspect, Justin Schimpl, 20, entering his neighbor's garage.

"I got a hold of their shirt and their right wrist, and I told him, I said, listen, don't try to get away," said Myvett.
