MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The woman accused of fatally shooting a Memphis pastor after a fight inside a local bar spilled outside has been indicted on elevated charges.
Samantha Marion, 42, was originally charged with voluntary manslaughter in the March 12 slaying of Pastor Ricky Floyd.
Last week, a grand jury determined that there was sufficient evidence to proceed to trial. The indictment charges Marion with second-degree murder, employment of a firearm with the intent to commit a felony, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
The deadly shooting happened outside of Momma’s Bar on 855 Kentucky Street just after it had closed for the night.
Witnesses say Marion and Floyd, who were complete strangers, got into an argument that spilled outside.
